Completed Commercial Development

Buckley’s Entertainment Centre was delivered as a major new addition to an existing hotel, creating a destination family entertainment venue of unprecedented scale. At the time of construction, it was recognised as the largest kids’ playroom within a hotel in the Southern Hemisphere.

The centrepiece of the project is a striking multi-level climbing tower positioned at the heart of the play space, designed to engage children across both indoor and outdoor areas. The build required significant structural steel works to support the scale and complexity of the feature, along with expansive glass walls that flood the space with natural light and create strong visual connection between interior and exterior zones.

Careful integration with the existing hotel structure was critical, requiring detailed planning and coordination to ensure continuity of operations and a seamless architectural outcome. The result is a bold, highly functional entertainment facility that enhances the hotel’s family offering while showcasing GMB Constructions’ capability to deliver complex, large-scale commercial additions.
