Rye Hotel

This project involved the delivery of a complex mixed-use development at the Rye Hotel, combining new commercial construction with a full hotel renovation. The works included the construction of 14 new commercial units built above the existing hotel, requiring major structural modifications and strengthening to support the additional load. Alongside the new build works, the hotel underwent a complete internal and external refurbishment, upgrading guest areas, services, and finishes to modern standards.

A key challenge of the project was carrying out significant structural and renovation works while the hotel remained fully operational. The construction programme was carefully phased and coordinated with hotel management to minimise disruption to guests and staff, maintain safe access at all times, and avoid unplanned closures. Through detailed planning, strict safety controls, and close collaboration with consultants and stakeholders, the project was successfully delivered, resulting in a structurally enhanced property, high-quality commercial units, and a fully modernised hotel.
